January 28, 2016 - Montreal, Canada— Ultra Electronics, TCS has received final customer acceptance for the delivery and integration of a mobile multi-band emitter range simulator.
The UltraHAWK Range simulator will be used to evaluate self-protection systems onboard advanced fighter aircraft. UltraHAWK is capable of tracking aircraft and stimulating their self-protection systems at ranges of 1 to 50 kilometers. The system also features the UltraEAGLE ELINT receiver system that is used to collect ECM signals emitted by the aircraft’s self-protection suite and all emissions transmitted at the target to support both the assessment of the ECM waveform in response to the radar threat and the effectiveness of the ECM waveform.
Iwan Jemczyk, President, Ultra Electronics TCS, commented: “I am very pleased that we have successfully delivered another advanced Range Simulator system. This project is significant for the company and demonstrates Ultra’s continuing ability to supply and support advanced EW systems.”
